National Recovery Month Events

International Overdose Awareness Day, held each year on August 31, is an opportunity for communities to come together to both remember the lives that have been lost to this tragic crisis and raise awareness of resources for those impacted by substance use disorder.

September is National Recovery Month. It provides opportunities to raise awareness and understanding of substance use disorders and the resources the State of Maryland makes available, as well as to honor those in recovery.
